The short version: nothing is uploaded until you choose a clip and give explicit AI-processing consent. Full reports stay on your device. We do not run advertising trackers, sell personal data, or use your swim videos to train our own models.
Who this policy covers
This policy covers the SwimForm mobile application, this website, and the server functions used to analyze a requested clip. SwimForm is available only to adults aged 18 or older.
Information we process
- A short freestyle video you record or select, limited to 15 seconds.
- Still frames extracted from that clip on your device.
- A Sign in with Apple identifier used to create and secure your session.
- Your active or inactive subscription status, managed by Apple or Google and RevenueCat.
- An encrypted Sign in with Apple refresh credential, kept only so we can revoke Apple authorization if you delete your account.
- Technical request information needed to secure the service and prevent abuse, such as timestamps and basic network request metadata.
Apple or Google handles your payment details. SwimForm does not receive or store your payment-card number.
How a video analysis works
- The clip is trimmed and compressed on your device. Audio is removed.
- The clip and extracted frames are uploaded over HTTPS to private, access-controlled temporary storage.
- The media is sent to Google's Gemini API to produce the requested technique report.
- SwimForm attempts to delete the temporary media before returning the result. If immediate deletion fails, an authenticated cleanup job removes leftover media within 24 hours.
SwimForm sends one Gemini API analysis request per attempt. Google states that data submitted through its paid Gemini API is not used to train its models. Google may retain API inputs and outputs for up to 55 days for abuse monitoring, and flagged data may be reviewed by authorized personnel for that purpose. See Google's Gemini API terms.
What stays on your device
Your report library, saved frames, training profile, progress history and, when small enough, the trimmed clip are stored locally on your device rather than synchronized to a cloud report library. SwimForm keeps up to 30 reports within an approximate 180 MB on-device storage budget and removes the oldest reports when either limit is exceeded. You can delete an individual report in the app. Uninstalling the app or clearing its local data can permanently remove those reports.
Apple Health
If you choose to enable Apple Health access, SwimForm requests read-only access and imports only workouts explicitly recorded as pool swims to show your training week and streak. Apple does not reveal to apps whether read access was denied, so SwimForm describes access as enabled rather than promising that every workout is readable. You can manage access at any time in Apple Health or iOS Settings. Apple Health data remains on your device and is not sent to SwimForm, Google, RevenueCat or any advertising service.
Accounts and subscriptions
We use Apple's private user identifier as the SwimForm account ID and as the RevenueCat App User ID. This keeps the subscription attached to the correct signed-in account. The iOS session is stored in Keychain. We do not maintain a separate SwimForm password.
Deleting a SwimForm account deletes its encrypted Apple credential and RevenueCat subscriber record, then clears local app data after the server confirms success. SwimForm also attempts to revoke its Sign in with Apple authorization. If Apple revocation is unavailable, deletion still completes and the app explains how to remove SwimForm manually from your Apple Account settings. We retain only a one-way pseudonymous revocation marker needed to keep sessions issued before deletion invalid; it contains no video, report, email address or Apple credential. Deletion does not cancel App Store or Google Play billing; subscriptions must be cancelled separately in the applicable store settings. See account deletion instructions.
This website
The public SwimForm website does not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics, pixels, account sign-in, or behavioral tracking. Standard hosting logs may temporarily process IP address, user agent and request timing for delivery, security and troubleshooting.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data or swim videos.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not show ads.
- We do not use submitted videos to train our own models.
- We do not intentionally keep analysis media after the deletion process described above.
Your choices
You can withdraw AI-processing consent in the in-app Account screen. After withdrawal, no new clip can be uploaded until you consent again. You can remove local reports, sign out, restore purchases, manage your store subscription, or request account deletion from the same area.
Security and retention
We use encrypted transport, private temporary storage, signed upload intents, server-side subscription checks and encrypted account credentials. No service is risk-free. We retain account credentials only while needed to operate the account and complete deletion. Pseudonymous abuse-prevention counters expire and are removed by scheduled cleanup; the session-revocation marker described above is retained only to prevent old sessions from being accepted. Media follows the immediate-deletion and 24-hour safeguard described above.
